Rebecca Rehashes Roboblog Featuring RoboBran #26: Gone Home

Someone's almost 5 months late to the Gone Home party. I'm sure everyone remembers Luchalma's review from last August. And if you don't, you should read it. Or you're square. And not in a fun way.

I didn't know much about this game going in. Everyone was raving about it, and I didn't want to be one of the uncool kids, so I decided to get it.

I want those glasses. Not that particular pair though, because dog germs. >_>

The story takes place in a mansion. The first thing I do is notice some tags on luggage. I wander around this front room, and realize I can pick up objects. Babes tells me to look for the clue on each item, like in 9.03m. Trololol. Well, he may have won that one (it was bound to happen eventually), but little did he know, I was on to a much better idea.

And thus, the pile was born. I picked up every object imaginable, and dumped it all in the front room of the house.

Humble beginnings.

Around 5 hours into the pilemaking, my "FRIEND" decided to tell me that someone else had already made a pile. But there was no going back. We'd wasted invested too much time in it to call it quits.

Aside from the idea having already been done, the main problem with this idea was how time consuming it was. Not just from a "what are we doing with our lives?" standpoint, but also from me wanting to know how the story was going to pan out. I shed a few tears around the same time I found out the pile had been done, but I persevered for another 2.4 hours. WE persevered for another 2.4 hours.

Fucking adorable.

Without further delay, I bring you:

I have one rule in life: I never listen to what Babes tells me. Heeeeeeee tried to give me some BS about this and that earlier, about STEAM Badges or some nonsense, I told him "NO YOU LISTEN. YOU LISTEN, GODDAMNIT." It's what I said. I told him, "No... no.. stop right there, YOU listen. I will set the Dino Go Home card price ABOVE average... not below." I told him I said it's the end of the fiscal year and you have to take risks.

    1. He just doesn't understand. He needs to get "You Need a Budget 4" so he can become a Steam badge expert. I mean, he's just an amateur. He sold a few snow globe cards and thinks he has what it takes. But shhh, he can hear us.

Cool pile, I like what you did there.

    1. The pile was pretty wicked. And kinda symmetrical. Which is important. I decided it wasn't a pile, and more of a dumping because I didn't want the items to be hidden. But there was NO GOING BACK.
